FocusEQ by CashflowBeatz
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy explains how CashflowBeatz, operating FocusEQ, handles information through focusvst.com, FocusEQ’s commercial licensing service, customer support, and related purchase records. Polar separately processes checkout and payment information under its own privacy policy.
Free download registrations
When you register for the free FocusEQ Windows and macOS release, we collect your email address and store your submission in this website’s WordPress database using Jetpack Forms. We use it for download availability and related FocusEQ release updates. No payment details are requested. Form spam protection may process submission information such as your email, IP address, and browser information through Akismet. Contact us to request removal of your registration. The purchase and licensing sections below apply to existing commercial records and services, not this free registration form.
Information we receive
- Purchase and entitlement data: customer email, Polar customer/order/license identifiers, product and price identifiers, entitlement status, refund or chargeback status, activation limit, and a masked or cryptographically protected license-key reference. We do not store the full license key in readable form in the licensing database.
- Device and authorization data: a random installation identifier, the public fingerprint of a device-protected cryptographic key, activation identifiers, signed request metadata, authorization counters, timestamps, status, and security/audit events.
- Network security data: the licensing service receives a source IP address to deliver the request and rate-limit abuse. The licensing database stores a keyed cryptographic digest of that address rather than the raw address in its security records.
- Support data: information you choose to send, such as contact details, system configuration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting correspondence.
- Website data: ordinary server request information and essential WordPress functionality. If optional analytics or cookies are added later, this policy will be updated before they are used for a new purpose.
Information FocusEQ does not collect
The plug-in’s commercial licensing system does not upload or inspect your audio, DAW projects, presets, EQ settings, automation, track names, or other creative content. FocusEQ does not receive payment-card numbers; checkout and payment processing are handled by Polar.
Information stored on your computer
On Windows, FocusEQ creates a non-exportable device private key using Windows cryptographic protection and stores its authorization cache for the current Windows user using operating-system encryption. The private device key is not sent to FocusEQ’s servers.
How we use information
- Validate purchases and issue, refresh, or deactivate authorized device seats.
- Maintain a perpetual entitlement and enforce the advertised device limit.
- Prevent replay, fraud, abuse, unauthorized sharing, and security attacks.
- Process refunds, chargebacks, revocations, and customer-support requests.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve FocusEQ and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers and disclosure
We use Polar for commerce and merchant-of-record services, Supabase for the hosted licensing database and server functions, and WordPress/our hosting providers for this website. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate those services, protect users and the product, comply with law, or complete a business reorganization. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and security
We retain records only as long as reasonably needed for entitlement delivery, device management, support, security, accounting, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by record and legal obligation. We use access controls, encrypted transport, cryptographic device proof, encrypted secret storage, and data minimization, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. Some transaction, entitlement, fraud-prevention, and legal records may need to be retained. To make a privacy request, email beta@focusvst.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
International processing and children
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law. FocusEQ is a professional audio product and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product or law changes. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
